GLP-1 constipation foods, ranked
Constipation is among the most common GLP-1 side effects, and a smaller appetite leaves less room for fiber. These are the plant foods that carry the most fiber per calorie and per serving — ranked from 241 plant foods in USDA FoodData Central, nothing hand-picked.

Common questions
What should I eat for constipation on Ozempic or Mounjaro?
The 2025 Delphi consensus lists sufficient fiber (at least 25 g/day for women and 30 g/day for men) as essential for gut health. With a small appetite, the foods that pack the most fiber per calorie — legumes, seeds, berries, bran — do the most work per bite, alongside enough fluid.
Should I add fiber fast?
No — a slowed gut handles a gradual increase better. The GLP-1 fiber calculator builds a +5 g ramp. No bowel movement for several days, severe pain or vomiting needs a clinician, not more fiber.
Where do these numbers come from?
USDA FoodData Central per-100 g fiber values, the same rows as every food page here; per-100 kcal and per-serving values are computed from them.
Method
Plant foods with a USDA fiber value and a listed serving; per 100 kcal = fiber ÷ kcal × 100; per serving = fiber per 100 g × serving grams ÷ 100. Fiber targets from the 2025 Delphi consensus. Not medical advice.
