GLP-1 Water Calculator

GLP-1 medications quiet appetite — and thirst along with it. This turns your weight, activity and weather into a daily fluid target and an hourly pace you can actually keep.

Common questions

How much water should I drink on Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro?

Most calculators and clinicians start from body weight: roughly 30–35 ml per kg per day, plus more for exercise and hot weather. For a 90 kg person that lands near 3 L. On GLP-1s the catch is that suppressed appetite also suppresses thirst, so a scheduled target beats waiting to feel it.

Do coffee and sparkling water count?

Yes — all fluids count toward the total, including coffee, tea and sparkling water. The old 'caffeine dehydrates you' worry is small at normal intakes. If nausea makes plain water unappealing, cold or fizzy often goes down easier.

How it's computed

Baseline is 35 ml per kg body weight (the top of the commonly cited 30–35 ml/kg adult band; EFSA's adequate intake is 2.0 L/day for women and 2.5 L/day for men as total fluids, and the weight rule tracks it well). Sessions add 350–750 ml depending on volume; hot conditions add 500 ml. Kidney or heart conditions, and medications like diuretics, change the answer entirely — this is a starting pace, not a prescription.
