Perimenopause Stage Calculator

Clinicians stage reproductive aging with the STRAW+10 framework, and its rules are numbers: cycle-length differences of 7+ days, skips of 60+ days, 12 months without a period. Describe your cycles and get the stage the framework assigns — with the wording to bring to your clinician. Self-tracking information, not a diagnosis.

Method & limits

Stage rules follow the STRAW+10 consensus (Harlow et al.): persistent ≥7-day differences between consecutive cycles open the early transition; ≥60-day gaps open the late transition; 12 months of amenorrhea confirms postmenopause. The tool does not apply if periods stopped for other reasons (surgery, hormonal contraception, pregnancy, breastfeeding) — those override cycle rules entirely. This is a self-tracking aid to structure a conversation with a clinician, not a diagnosis.
